Advanced Counselor Training, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP #6532). Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Advanced Counselor Training is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. This workshop series provides the educational component required towards the completion of the Approved Clinical Supervisor certificate (ACS). The ACS is offered through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE). New Jersey LPC licensure requires that LPC qualified clinical supervisors have training in supervision, as evidenced by either taking a graduate level course in clinical supervision or obtaining their ACS. All supervisory relationships with LACs must meet this requirement.
Michigan LPC licensure requires that all qualified supervisors who begin supervising LLPCs after January 1, 2013 receive 30 hours of clinical supervision training. Our 3o clock hour NBCC clinical supervision workshop series meets the current Michigan licensure requirements. This workshop series also helps those LPCs who want to obtain their ACS.
Certification Board of NJ, Inc. approval for 30 clock hours towards the educational component required for the credential of Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) occurs for each supervision workshop series provided in NJ. In July, 2018 the Division of Consumer Affairs finished posting a rule adoption which, if passed, would require a qualified supervisor possess a CCS in order to supervise CADCs and Counselor Interns.
Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia (LPCAGA) Continuing Education Approved Provider. Our Georgia Supervision Workshop Series has been approved by the LPCAGA as meeting the educational requirements for the Georgia specific Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). As of October 1, 2018 all Georgia LPC qualified supervisors must possess either the CPCS or ACS in order to supervise either unlicensed counselors or APCs.
Medical Marijuana in NJ: Practice and Policy Issues has been approved by the Association of Social Work Boards for NJ social workers (LCSWs and LSWs). ASWB NJ CE Course Approval Program Provider #87 Course #1964 from 07/30/2018 to 07/30/2020. Social workers will receive the following type and number of credit(s): Clinical Social Work Practice 6. This course is also approved for for 6 contact hours for NJ LPCs, LACs, LCADCs, CADCs and LMFTs because Advanced Counselor Training, LLC is an NBCC approved provider (#6532).
